The Efforts over NGO’s and Media for the Acceptance of PKK Terrorist Organization as an Addressee

We have been a country and a society busy with terrorism and separatism actively for 30 years and for the last two hundred years in various means. Insurgences in the Ottoman Empire and the separatist, ethnic terrorism that had started especially in the Balkans had taken many lives and the state had established a defense mechanism against these activities.

Armenia 'may agree to some kind of peace' in 2011

I would like to think so, but it is not too easy. Israel in the Middle East and Armenia in the South Caucasus are far from peace. Both regions have serious problems in this respect. The settlement of these problems anytime soon is considered impossible. However, it is easier to settle problems in the Caucasus than in the Middle East. Peace in the Caucasus can be achieved if both parties want it. Turkey’s unilateral efforts are insufficient. It requires Israel in the Middle East and Armenia in the Caucasus to take steps to achieve peace.

Turkish Prime Minister Erdoğan, during an interview in Canada last week said that ‘one of NATO’s most important goals was fighting against terrorism’. Since ‘Turkey was a country that fights against terrorism’, NATO members should ‘replicate their cooperation in Afghanistan in other regions and lend their support to this fight’ he said.

Why Turkey is Associated with an Axis Shift?

Whenever Turkey develops its relations with the neighbouring Middle Eastern states a discourse on an axis shift is being pronounced. That means an impression that Turkey will form an alliance with Middle Eastern states instead of the western alliance which occasionally confronts with Middle East is wanted to be formed, or Turkey is accused with doing so…

Turkey may be shifting its axis away from the West, but it is not moving far enough East to encompass the growing importance of – or affect the current turmoil in – Central Asia, regional experts say. Observers criticize Ankara's 'indifference' to the ethnic violence in Kyrgyzstan, saying the government is too preoccupied with issues in Iran and Israel

An Assestment on the Attack of Israel to Humanitarian Aid Convoy

In fact, the astonishing and illegal armed intervention at 31 May 2010 on Gaza Humanitarian Aid Convoy for some reason, attempts to render a Turkish-Israeli conflict. In my opinion, it is more of an insult against the UN, in other words, to the whole world, to all the NGO’s than Turkey. What makes Turkey special in this case is the presence of Islamist oriented Turkish NGO’s.

At this time emerging the question “how Turkey may contribute to the energy security“. Today it is known that `just possessing the energy sources` is not enough. Turkey’s energy policy is held hostage, and the culprit is a short-sighted Armenia rapprochement that has ignored Azerbaijan’s legitimate concerns on Nagorno-Karabakh.
